The Art of Being and Becoming : The Dance of The Feminine & Masculine
Jul 28, 2024Being & Becoming
The beautiful dance of being and becoming: the masculine and feminine.
When making any type of change in your life, it is a human need to feel safe in your body; and, if/when you don't, we tend to reach wherever we can [anywhere/everywhere] to find any type of safety– just to feel safe… this often leads to disassociation and reaching for old tools/ways (which is valid) that are no longer able to support you on the path that you are on, moving towards and the life that you are building; so new tools are required as you b ᵉ ᶜ o ⓜ ǝ… and yes, often times, it is MeSsY… makes us feel sideways… ǝpısdn uʍop… and mis-placed..
This doesn't come without discomfort; they're gr0wing pains…
Yet, it is the most courageous thing you can do; to trust in your Knowing although ‘unknown’ yet known.
For me, specifically, old ways and templates that I attempted to reach for, fit or remain in were causing deep pain… not only for me-- but for all involved… so letting go is a necessity– a requirement– as part of this journey. Again, not easy. Yet, exploring new ways to meet you and hold yourself more deeply and fully– as best as you can.
During this season, I found myself in places that my younger self cried in and I held her there… for, in the past, I didn't know how to. *** Gift yourself this. To hold the parts that once seemed too heavy. ***
We need to feel safe in our bodies and allow space for integration. Think the mother and the father: the holder, the nurturer. And, this isn't easy because, you're learning to meet your own needs… alongside learning what they are through each season… each day… each moment…
When we're uncomfortable, we tend to check out of our body and this is where we find ourselves in the mind questioning our path and disconnecting from the body when both hold their own superpower– and the alchemy lies in honoring and balancing both energies and allowing them to dance their own dance, together; all while learning and honoring the other's step and knowing it'll be a new dance over- and over- and over, again. Sometimes it's swing dancing, whereas others its square dancing. Both are beautiful. And yes, stepping on each others toes will be part of it… ☺
