The first initiations is awareness, for what you are not aware of, you cannot change although it is creating your life. The beautiful part of this is... you can always change it. I call this the space between. For awareness, it's accept [or] deny and my invitation to you is to view it as a sliding scale.
1. Sit with yourself in silence.
2. What do I need to know?
3. Sliding Scale with Honest Reflection: Accept [or] Deny
Awareness: Accept or Deny
- When you open yourself up and become aware of what you are seeing, not seeing or may not want to see, you are offered new sight…
From a psychological lens, the subconscious mind influences our behavior, decisions, and perceptions in ways we may not be fully aware of. It stores our beliefs, memories, and experiences, shaping how we respond (or don't respond) to the world. If you hold deep-seated beliefs (ie about success or failure), this will direct your life accordingly leading to outcomes that align with those beliefs.
From a spiritual perspective, the subconscious is seen as a powerful force that manifests our reality– the life we are currently standing in. Bringing forth the Law of Attraction–– our thoughts and beliefs that are held in the subconscious mind attract the people, experiences, etc. into our lives.
There are many ways to say this like, "whatever you focus on– grows"; what I like to say is: whatever it is that you focus on will come to life and become your life.
And to view this as an honor– "oooo, I get to change my life... any part of it." And be enamored by that– WOW... I get to change my life... and meeting those parts with.... the space between: acceptance.
The late Carl Jung introduced the concept of the "collective unconscious," where he described as a part of the unconscious mind shared by all humans, containing archetypes and universal symbols. These archetypes influence our behavior, dreams, and thoughts, often without us being aware of it.
His work focuses on the importance of integrating the unconscious with the conscious mind, a process he called "individuation."
"The unconscious mind holds not only our personal memories and experiences, also repressed desires, fears, and unresolved conflicts. These aspects of the unconscious, if not acknowledged, can influence our lives in ways we don't understand, manifesting as psychological issues or life patterns.
Jung famously said, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate." This means that if we don't become aware of our subconscious drives and motivations, they will continue to shape our lives in ways that might feel beyond our control."
